Turmeric Facial Masks have been used by people from India and Asia for centuries.  Turmeric reduces inflammation, detoxifies your liver, fights free radicals and soothes your digestive tract when taken internally.  The Curcumin is the active ingredient in Turmeric, and it is a powerful antioxidant, has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.  Turmeric Facial Masks can help restore your skin’s natural balance.

Turmeric will stain your skin when used in large amounts and if not completely washed off your face.  After rinsing off the Turmeric Facial Mask, follow with a toner.  The toner will remove the any Turmeric Mask that has been left behind.   If you are unsure if the turmeric will stain your skin, then rub a slice of lemon in a circular motion on your face and then rinse off.  Lemon juice will whiten and lighten your skin.

Turmeric Facial Masks

Besides clearing your skin of acne, Turmeric is great for wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes.  If you have stayed up to late studying for a final, and the next morning you see dark circles under your eyes try this quick remedy.  Take 2 tablespoons of buttermilk and add a pinch (small amount, very small) of Turmeric.  Stir all together.  Put the past on under your eyes and leave for 20 minutes.  Go eat breakfast.  Wash off the paste; apply oil free moisturizer and then your makeup.  Have an awesome day.


 

Turmeric Facial Masks Recipe #1 

Turmeric and Milk

  • Mix together 2 tablespoons flour and ½ teaspoon Turmeric.
  • Add 1 tablespoon Almond Oil and enough milk to make a spreadable paste.
  • Apply the paste to your face and avoid the eye area.
  • Leave on for 10-15 minutes (no longer than 20 minutes)
  • Apply warm water to the mask and gently rub, then rinse your face well with warm water.
  • Apply toner and follow with moisturizer
  • Use once or twice a week

Turmeric Facial Masks Recipe #2

Yogurt, Coconut or Olive Oil and Turmeric and Honey

Mix:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon of Coconut or Olive Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 2 drops of Lavender Essential Oil 100% Therapeutic/Medical Grade

Then:

  • Apply to your face or your entire body
  • Leave on for 10-15 minutes
  • Rinse well with warm water
  • Follow with a toner and oil free moisturizer

Turmeric Facial Masks Recipe #3 

Cinnamon and Turmeric or Baking Soda

Mix:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey or yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric and/or ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon (Cinnamon must be 100% pure)
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Then:

  • Apply to blemishes and leave on for 10 minutes
  • Rinse well with warm water
  • Follow with toner and an oil free moisturizer
