Oatmeal Homemade Facial Mask Ingredients and Directions

Basic Oatmeal Facial Mask

  • 3/4 cup dry oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Make a thick paste of oatmeal and water
  • Add more water if needed to get the consistency that you desire
  • Apply to face and neck, avoid the eye area
  • Let dry for 20-30 minutes, if your skin begins to feel itchy then the facial mask has been on long enough
  • Rinse with warm water
  • Apply an oil-free moisturizer to seal the skin and lock in the moisture

Honey, Lemon, Oatmeal Facial Mask

  • 2 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 3 tablespoons honey, organic is preferred
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, if possible freshly squeezed is best
  • Warm up the Honey, you want it to be running, put a small dish with the Honey into a larger dish of warm water.  Do not use the microwave because you could crystallize the Honey.
  • Mix all ingredients together with your desired consistency.  You do not want it to runny because you want it to stay on your face.
  • Apply mixture to your face and neck, avoiding your eye area
  • Leave on for 20-30 minutes, this facial mask will not dry, as the honey will not dry.

  • Leave on for 20-30 minutes
  • Rinse off with warm water
  • Apply oil-free moisturizer to seal skin and to lock in the moisture

  • 1/2 cup cooked and cooled oatmeal
  • 1 egg yolk (save the egg white for another Oatmeal Facial Mask)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 banana, mashed
