Aspirin Treatments For Acne

Aspirin Treatment for Acne are very effective.  Everyone seems to take Aspirin for minor aches and pains, and some even take an Aspirin a day for heart health.

Aspirin is anti-inflammatory by nature and reduces the redness associated with the inflammation.  It contains Salicylic acid, which is a natural non-abrasive exfoliant.  The Salicylic Acid  works by loosening the glue that holds the dead skin cells together, which is what causes the acne.  When you wash your face after applying the Aspirin paste, you wash away the dead skin cells without scratching the new layer of healthy cells.  Salicylic Acid is also oil-soluble, which means that it can penetrate the sebum (oil) clogged pores.

Salicylic Acid is found in many of the over the counter and prescription treatments.  A side effect of Salicylic Acid is irritation and stinging to the site.  The stinging and irritation is usually temporary, but if it becomes uncomfortable then apply baking soda water to the area to neutralize the  treatment.
